Mr. James Andrew Andree, 61, of Galesburg, Illinois died peacefully at his home, surrounded by loving family and his extraordinary care team at 2:32 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024.
James was born to Raymond and Maridean (Gould) Andree on July 23, 1963, in Moline, Illinois.
Surviving James is his twin sister, Julie (Tom) Armstrong of Oconto, Wisconsin; sister, Jolleen (Bill) Montgomery of Orion, Illinois; his two brothers, Jeffrey (Carol) Andree of Kissimmee, Florida and Jonathan Andree of Florida. James is survived by many devoted nieces and nephews, as well as his friends and staff at his group home in Galesburg. James is preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Wendy Andree
James attended Orion High School and is a graduate of the class of 1981. James met many friends through KCCDD Workshop. He went on to work for Steak 'n Shake as a dishwasher for 17 years. After that, he worked at Hy-Vee from 2015 up until his retirement in 2024. He took great pride in the fact that
