Mrs. Janet M. Malone, 83, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away peacefully Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.
She was born on January 24, 1942, in Chestnut Township, Knox County, Illinois, the daughter of Elvin and Ruby (Martenson) Beck Lambiaso. She married Dale Raymond Malone on June 14, 1959, at the Christian Church in Abingdon.
Janet is survived by her husband, Dale; a daughter, Cathy (and Bill) Emeis of Tualatin, Oregon; a son, Roger (and Mary) Malone of Victoria, Illinois; a sister, Joyce McCollum of Chicago; four grandchildren, Tracey, Meghyn, Whitney, Molly, Doug and Miranda, and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Jacquelyn Mannon and Judith Beck.
Janet graduated from Spoon River Valley High School in 1959. In addition to being a full-time mother and homemaker, she worked in food service for the Spoon River Valley School District. She worked at Feye's Processing for 30 years before becoming a tax assessor fo
