Thomas Charles Ronk, 87, of Galesburg, Illinois, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on February 28, 2025.
Tom was born July 6, 1937 in Galesburg, the son of Harold W. and Ida M. (Berry) Ronk. He married Ellen Totten on June 27, 1967 in Nashville, Tennessee. Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ellen of Galesburg; one son, Rodney (Wendy) Steck of Dixon, Illinois; three grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
Tom worked at OMC/Gale Products in Galesburg for 27 years. He went on to own and operate Ronk's Floral Shoppe and Greenhouse in Abingdon, Illinois with Ellen for 28 years, until their retirement in 1999. Tom was a faithful member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus. He was blessed with great musical talent and loved to play the piano and sing.
